Box-Pleated Valances give you a clean, tailored look that completes any window in any décor. Measuring and installation of your fabric valance is easy, in this short video you will see just how simple it is to measure and install your soft window treatment.
To begin your installation, take the larger of the two rod sections and place the included plastic threader over the end. The threader makes it easier for the end of the rod to smoothly travel through the opening in the fabric. Insert the rod into the opening at the top of the fabric and slide it through while gathering up the remaining material with your other hand. After threading the end of the rod through the fabric, remove the threader and connect the smaller section. Continue working the fabric over the rod until the material reaches the curved portion near the end. The sides of your rod have a 2" projection. This return depth is usually sufficient to cover the majority of window treatments. If a longer projection depth is needed to extend your valance further away from the wall, simply add one or more of the included 1" extension blocks to your mounting brackets as needed. Measure 4”to the outside of your window opening and make a guide mark above your window at the height you have selected for your valance rod then drill or tap starter holes through the center of your marks. Plastic wall anchors are included for attaching your mounting hardware. Simply tap the anchors into your starter holes and attach the bracket holders to both sides of your windows with the included hardware. Attach any extension blocks you may need, then repeat on the right.
Attach each side of your valance rod to their mounting brackets by inserting the stem at the ends of the brackets through the holes in the top of the rod. Even out fabric over the length of the rod to complete your installation. And that’s it!
