Are your woven wood shades looking dusty or dirty? We’ll show how to clean your shades the right way - without damaging them. Let’s get started.

Here’s what you need: a vacuum with a hose attachment, a microfiber cloth, and dusting spray

Woven wood materials can vary greatly, so be careful when cleaning and give us a call if you’re not sure how to proceed.

If your shades are dusty, remove dust from the crevices in the fabric with the brush attachment on your vacuum. Gently sweep the brush attachment across the fabric until it’s clean.

Do not use water, or harsh cleaners on woven wood shades. These can damage lift strings, materials, or cause discoloration.

If your shades are made of wood slats or bamboo, you may be able to wipe them down with a lint-free cloth and furniture polish. Always spray the polish on the cloth first and then wipe down your shades rather than spraying the material itself.

Have more questions?
