Are your sheer shades dusty or dirty? We’ll show how to clean your shades the right way - without damaging the fabric. Let’s get started.
Here’s what you need. A vacuum with brush attachment, warm water, mild dish soap, a microfiber cloth and a sponge.
To easily lift away dust and surface dirt, gently swipe across the fabric with the brush attachment on your vacuum while supporting the fabric from behind. Be sure that the fabric doesn’t wrinkle or crumple.
Blow any debris out from inside of the fabric folds with a can of compressed air.
For more serious dirt, sheer shade fabric can be wiped down gently with a damp sponge or microfiber cloth and warm soapy water.
Avoid strong cleaners as they could damage the fabric and never submerge sheer shades in water, as this may damage internal mechanisms.
